Mitsubishi attorneys said the lawsuit was not accurate, and that the roof they built was far more expensive than the one they agreed to build. They say the contract was amended to allow for additional reimbursement.
The lawsuit, filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, asks the court to direct a final contract closeout with Mitsubishi, construction manager HCH Miller Park Joint Venture and the baseball park district.
Robert N. Trunzo, chairman of the Stadium Board, says Mitsubishi has asked for an extra $23 million. He says the project's closing budget is about $393.2 million and includes sufficient contingency funds to cover legitimate contract closeout costs with HCH,Mitsubishi and other subcontractors.
