"In-fill housing is a smart-growth approach that allows a community to accommodate residents while preserving local charm, and building homes near major employers and transit lines allows for a shorter commute,'' says Burbank Housing's executive director John Lowry.

The project, located on West Payran Street, includes all apartment sizes from studio to four bedrooms and includes an on-site day care facility and retail space. Monthly rents will range from $300 to $1,000.

The units are reserved for families earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income, which is $61,800 for a family of four and $71,700 for a family of six.
