FAR Picks Veissi to Lead Realtors in 13 Districts

MIAMI-Maurice J. “Moe” Veissi, a South Florida Realtor for 20 years, will lead 70,000 real estate professionals in 13 state districts this year. In its annual election of officers, the Florida Association of Realtors has named Veissi president of one of the state’s most powerful political-action groups.

Taking over for Veissi in 2003 will be Tom Salomone, president-elect. Frank Kowalski is the new vice president-secretary. Russell Grooms Jr. is treasurer.

Veissi is owner/broker of Veissi & Associates Inc., Miami and has been a vigorous promoter of the trade group over the past two decades. He is especially supportive of FAR’s two-year-old, $6,000 college scholarship program for high school seniors.
