C&W Client Strategies head Derrick Mashore will run the program, which is designed to enhance market share in certain strategic markets, particularly those with a strong industrial base. Each allied firm will be contracted and branded with C&W as a "Member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance."
Included among the charter members are several offices that have enjoyed preferred provider status with C&W as well as a number of former C&W-owned offices. "We have had a history of successful partnership in these markets," says C&W president of US operations Bruce Mosler. "These firms were selected because they represent the best in class of their kind in their region."
According to Mosler, while the program's scope may eventually expand beyond the initial six markets, the firm "is in no rush to add offices." The decision to add members "will be driven by opportunity, strategic goals and by the quality of the individuals involved," Mosler tells GlobeSt.com. "We take great pride in our brand name." Potential members, he says, will be subject to "extraordinary scrutiny."
Hoped-for benefits of the program include the creation of new channels for the firm's advisory, asset, corporate and international services as well as opportunities for new strategic ventures. In addition, the partnerships are designed to provide clients in non-C&W markets with immediate access to the firm's full range of services including those provided by its research, consultation, marketing and technology groups.
"The Alliance enhances C&W's span of control and continuum of services to our clients in these markets," says Mashore. "At the same time, they allow C&W more effective access through quality local real estate firms and former offices that benefit from using our multiple services."
The first six member firms will be:
- Commercial Carolina (Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte and Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC; Charleston, Columbia and Greenville/Spartanburg, SC)--former C&W offices
- Commercial Jacksonville (FL)--former C&W office
- Corporate Real Estate Advisors (San Diego)--former C&W office
- Commercial Tennessee (Memphis; Little Rock, AK; Mississippi) -- former C&W preferred provider
- Eason, Graham & Sandner (Birmingham & Huntsville, AL)--former C&W preferred provider
- Mission Property (Nashville)--former C&W preferred provider
