Rents also changed very little since September, according to the report. The survey results show a $2 increase in average rents since September, and only a $10 increase since the beginning of the year, or a 2.6% average annual rate of increase.

The highest average rent was in Lake Oswego, with an average rent of $911, and Hillsboro, averaging $869. The next highest market is Portland, at $782, followed by Wilsonville at $722, Clackamas at $688 and Gresham at $654.

Included in the survey were 294 apartments containing 62,796 units. The average complex size is 214 units, with the smallest having 67 units and the largest 711 units. The average age of the apartments surveyed is 16 years, with the oldest being 52 years old and the youngest being two years old.
