Work Starts on Bastrop Home Depot

BASTROP, TX-Retail's flourishing in the City of Bastrop, as evidenced by the number of developments now under construction or on the drawing boards. Construction crews are clearing land for a Home Depot that will neighbor Wal-Mart and H-E-B.

BASTROP, TX-Crews are clearing land for what will be a Home Depot store in Bastrop by early summer. The home improvement store is part of a Sabine Investments retail development on 283 acres.

Construction should begin next month. The store would join eight others in the Austin area. Atlanta-based Home Depot is scheduled to open five stores in Texas in February. Three are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and one each are near Houston and San Antonio.
