Terms were not disclosed for the company and its building, which is located at 400 Apollo Dr. The deal is expected to close by April 30.

Synovis International Solutions' parent company, Bio-Vascular Inc., plans to move some of its interventional business operations in the Emtec facility, which is located less than a mile away.

Karen Gilles, president and chief executive officer of Bio-Vascular, says the deal will expand the original equipment manufacturing capabilities of Synovis IS as well as lower manufacturing costs of some Bio-Vascular products.

Synovis IS makes complex micro-wire forms that are used in interventional devices for cardiac rhythm management, neurostimulation and vascular procedures.

St. Paul, MN-based Bio-Vascular is a diversified medical device company.
