The companies have leased 2,539 sf at Synergy Plaza, positioned at 11940 Jollyville Rd. in the far northwest submarket. Both deals are direct leases for Synergy Plaza, which has 56,419 sf in two buildings.
National Fatherhood Initiative has taken 1,156 sf. The company, a lobbying group for fathers, took the office space because it has adequate parking and is centrally located for its staff. It will move from offices at 4301 Burnet Rd. in the central submarket.
Amerinet Mortgage Services Corp. has leased 1,383 sf. Amerinet exits 5828 Balcones Dr. also in the central submarket.
Derek Silva of NAI/Commercial Industrial Properties Co. represented National Fatherhood and NAI/CIP's Renee Hicks spoke for Amerinet. Barney Bigham of Danley Properties represented the building owner.
The vacancy rate in the far northwest submarket was 33.2% at the end of 2001, according to the Colliers Oxford Commercial market report. Its vacant 2.4 million sf accounts for 44% of the vacant space in the Austin market.
