High-Tech Stapleton Visitor Center Opens

DENVER-The 5,000-sf, high-tech visitor information center will "tell the story of the birth of Denver's next great neighborhoods" can be "deconstructed" and moved from the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Syracuse Street.

DENVER-Mayor Wellington E. Webb and Forest City Stapleton Inc. officials have opened a 5,000-sf, high-tech visitor information center at the former international airport that is being developed into a $4-billion mixed-use project. “This center will do more than merely provide information about the beautiful new homes that will be built at Stapleton,” says Greg Vilkin, president of Forest City Stapleton Inc., the master developer selected to redevelop the former airport.

“It will tell the story of the birth of ‘Denver’s next great neighborhoods’,” he adds.

According to Webb, “This is an important milestone for the Stapleton redevelopment. For those who are first-time home buyers, those who are looking for a new home, and for those who are just curious about the Stapleton transformation, the Stapleton Visitor Center will give citizens one of the first ‘hands-on’ opportunities to learn about new housing, parks and businesses that are part of this new community.”
