Neighborhoods Get $1.6 Mil in Grants for Affordable Housing

BALTIMORE, MD-The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBA) has awarded a total of $1.6 million in grants to seven organizations for the development of affordable housing. Approximately 302 area families will benefit from the funding.

Among the groups receiving funds from FHLBA are: the Housing Authority of Baltimore City; Tri Churches Housing, Inc.; Reservoir Hill HOPE, Inc. Enterprise Housing Corp of Maryland, Inc.; Susquehanna Bank and Homes for America, Inc.; Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc.; and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, Inc. The largest grant, $500,000, goes to The Housing Authority. Residents in the Baltimore, Berlin, McHenry and Waldorf area communities will be affected.
