Jessica Wright and Kaycee Canter will focus on expanding the Austin presence of Encino,CA-based Marcus & Millichap with their concentration on the sale of manufactured housing communities. They will report to Christopher Thomson, the firm's regional manager in Dallas and work in the firm's National Manufactured Home Communities Group.

Thomson tells GlobeSt.com that Marcus & Millichap is "actively seeking additional established real estate professionals in the Austin market." So far, the firm is operating from an executive suite at 8303 MoPac. "We're going to work Austin from a hub-and-spoke model, if you will, both from Dallas and also recruiting from local, established brokers," he says. With 34 offices nationwide and sales in excess of $6.4 billion last year, Marcus & Millichap is the largest commercial real estate brokerage in the nation focusing exclusively on real estate investments.

Wright and Canter worked together at Austin-based Republic Commercial Properties, where they specialized in the sale of manufactured home communities. They began their real estate careers at Austin-based Littlefield Real Estate Co. There, Wright served as a multifamily division executive and assistant to the firm's comptroller. Canter worked at Littlefield as a financial analyst, assisting the firm's head of acquisitions. They also worked at Texas Professionals Inc. in Austin.
