Austin Expansion Play Under Way With Dual Hiring

AUSTIN-Two Littlefield Real Estate executives, with experience in manufactured housing community sales, switch affiliations as Marcus & Millichap looks to build up its Austin team. More hires are on the radar screen.

AUSTIN-Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. is expanding its Austin office with the hiring of two brokers who are veterans of the manufactured home business.

Jessica Wright and Kaycee Canter will focus on expanding the Austin presence of Encino,CA-based Marcus & Millichap with their concentration on the sale of manufactured housing communities. They will report to Christopher Thomson, the firm’s regional manager in Dallas and work in the firm’s National Manufactured Home Communities Group.

Thomson tells GlobeSt.com that Marcus & Millichap is “actively seeking additional established real estate professionals in the Austin market.” So far, the firm is operating from an executive suite at 8303 MoPac. “We’re going to work Austin from a hub-and-spoke model, if you will, both from Dallas and also recruiting from local, established brokers,” he says. With 34 offices nationwide and sales in excess of $6.4 billion last year, Marcus & Millichap is the largest commercial real estate brokerage in the nation focusing exclusively on real estate investments.
