Public Health Agency Moves Into 17,000-SF HQ

MOUNDS VIEW, MN-The facility is a safe and secure place for the Blue Cross/Blue Shield affiliate to protect the public's health, officials say. It will be used by more than 40 Minnesota Institute of Public Health staff members.

MOUNDS VIEW, MN-The Minnesota Institute of Public Health recently moved into a new 17,000-sf building at the intersection of County Road 10 and Silver Lake Road. The new building is being used for office space and is housing more than 40 Minnesota Institute of Public Health staff members.

The relocation increases Minnesota Institute of Public Health’s capacity to safeguard and protect the public health, says Jerry Jaker, Minnesota Institute of public health director. Founded in 1972, Minnesota Institute of Public Health creates materials and offers training and consultation in the areas of gambling, alcohol abuse in youth, Native American health care programs, traffic safety, mental health, sexually transmitted diseases, homeland security, tobacco and drug abuse prevention, and gun violenceprevention.
