All 14 leases are signed and all but three of the new restaurants are currently under construction.
For the fourth quarter ended Dec. 30, Buca Inc. reported revenues of $48.3 million, up 21% from a year ago. After adjusting for the extra week in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2000, sales in the fourth quarter of 2001 would have increased by 30%.
Net income for the fourth quarter was $2.6 million, or $0.16 per share, down 22% from the previous fourth quarter.
Buca says its sales for the year were up 35% to $175.6 million. The company says it expects earnings per share growth this year will be about 50%.
