Hines Meadow was completely refurbished in 1998. It comprises 54,094-sf of Grade A space in two wings, with 222 car parking spaces.
The investment had been put on the market by Aberdeen Property Asset Managers Limited acting on behalf of Alecta. Symantec's property advisor DTZ agreed the freehold purchase before going on to negotiate a lease surrender with the existing tenant, Nortel Networks to allow Symantec to become an owner-occupier. Nortel had held the property on a lease with a tenants break option in March 2013, and a rent review due in March 2003. The passing rent was £1.25 million ($1.75 million) per annum based on £24.13 ($34) per sf.
