The renovation included an extensive refurbishing of the 189-room resort, with updates at the 4,500 sf spa, a 2,700 sf fitness center, a 234-seat water-view restaurant and bar and 11,500 sf of meeting space. The entire resort reopened Jan. 15.
The Bob Cupp-designed golf course has a 6,907-yard layout, a driving range, practice area, and a 15,000 sf clubhouse. The clubhouse is scheduled to open later this year.
LaPlaya Golf Club is a joint venture between the Barron Collier Companies and Stephen J. Lockwood & Co., LLC. The LaPlaya Resort is a joint venture between Noble House Hotels and Resorts and the Barron Collier Companies.
