ALEXANDRIA, VA-Santa Ana, CA-based Starbase Corp. has negotiated a deal to terminate the lease on 38,000 sf of office space at 44 Canal Center Plaza. The deal allows Starbase to save nearly $10 million in fees over the remaining eight years on the 10-year lease.

Located in the city’s Old Town area, the 15-year-old building offers 156,207 sf of office space on six floors. Starbase took on the space last year when it acquired the Alexandria-based company worldweb.net, which had moved into the offices in July 2000 after experiencing record growth. The company will keep offices in the Washington Metro area to serve the Starbase Federal Sales Group and the eXpressroom development team.
