Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe is being developed by Aston Care Systems of Sun City, FL. The Venice development is located off South Pinebrook Road near Venice Commons Shopping Center and Venice Hospital.
The senior living community will have 264 rental apartments, with floor plans ranging from 799 sf to 1,689 sf; 83 assisted living rental suites and 24 luxury villas with three different floor plans. Essex CEO Edward A. Storey tells GlobeSt.com Aston has more than 50 leases already signed.
The first phase of Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe comprises four buildings with a total of 178 units. Construction will take an estimated 12 months to complete. Essex plans to start a second phase with 86 units in two buildings by April 2003.
The second phase is expected to cost $3 million. Construction on an additional phase, with 24 villas in six buildings, starts in April 2002.
Aston Care Systems is the developer of senior centers in Sun City and Tampa as well as Aston Gardens at Parkland Commons in Parkland.
