His Jan. 30 resignation letter to Gov. Jeb Bush, Enterprise Florida's chairman, cites plans to change careers after 30 years in trade and economic development work and partner in a new business with wife Margaret Megee, a tourism development executive.

Anderson, 63, headed Orlando-based Enterprise Florida for the last six years. Enterprise officials are scouting nationally for his replacement.

Enterprise officials say Anderson played a key role in bringing numerous companies to Florida where they invested heavily in real estate assets to run their divisions, branches or headquarters sites.
