Austin-based USOL provides telecommunications services to owners of multifamily communities and is looking for complementary businesses that can take advantage of what it calls its experience and expertise in real estate, telecommunications and cable. "Our objective is to leverage these resources by layering new business units that would benefit from this corporate infrastructure," said Jim Livingston, USOL's CEO.
Hampton Holdings LLC, based in Portland, OR, provides strategic development guidance for small-to-medium sized businesses. Roy Rose, the company's founder and manager, is a director of USOL.
US OnLine, a USOL subsidiary, offers telephone, cable television and Internet services to tenants at apartments and other multifamily dwellings such as dormitories. The services are available in 137 multifamily dwellings in seven cities.
