Oceanic Enterprises, a joint venture between Hamann Construction and Carltas Investments, hope to build a 126,801-sf industrial building and 65,070 sf in small and multi-tenant buildings for sale or lease.
The buyers also plan to build other structures, including headquarters for their own operations. Oceanic Enterprises bought the land from Stirling Enterprises, a master planner and developer, according to David Onosko and Ronald King of Coldwell Banker Commercial/North County Properties.
Ocean Ranch is the site of a planned 1.8 million sf campus for Idec Pharmaceuticals, a San Diego-based firm that bought 60 acres in September 2000 for $18 million. Construction is expected to start this year.
