Among the major tenants of Fifth Sixth South is Dorsey & Whitney, a law firm, and Fallon, an advertising agency.

Nick & Tony's, which is run by Chicago-based Restaurant Development Group, will occupy a portion of the building's ground floor along South 6th Street, west of Nicollet Mall. The restaurant is scheduled to open in May 2002.

The Nick & Tony's concept, which offers traditional Italian cuisine specializing in oversized portions of home style pasta, prime streaks and chops, says the Minneapolis restaurant will be its fourth unit.

The deal represents the first venture into the Twin Cities market by Restaurant Development Group, which manages five concept restaurants and 20 units inCleveland; OH; Tempe, AZ; and Chicago. Restaurant Development Group owner Roger Greenfield says his business liked the setting for the restaurant as well as the proximity to the Target Center and other Downtown destinations.

Nick & Tony's was represented in lease negotiations by Bruce A. Kaplan, president of Chicago-based Northern Realty Group.

In addition to Minneapolis, Restaurant Development Group is also planning to enter the Omaha, Scottsdale, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh markets.
