Mark Milstead of NAI/Commercial Industrial Properties Co. in Austin represented Interstate Connect. Brett Arabie of Austin's Colliers Oxford Commercial brokered the deal for Metromedia Network Services.
Interstate Connect sets up kiosks in truck stops to sell satellite and cell phone services to truckers. The truckers pull into a truck stop, attach a small satellite dish to the side-view mirrors on their trucks and tune in.
One Tech Plaza, located at 2113 Wells Branch Parkway, is 54,000 sf of research and development-flex space in two buildings. The north central submarket had about 29,000 sf of available sublease space at the end of the 2001 fourth quarter. Its overall vacancy rate was 14.5%.
