Another Hotel for Glasgow International Airport

GLASGOW-Glasgow International Airport is to have a new hotel following the news that BAA Scottish Airports has won consent for 250 bedrooms. It adds to a clutch of hotels at the airport.

GLASGOW-BAA Scottish Airports has won planning consent for the construction of a new 250-bedroom four-star hotel to be linked to the terminal building at Glasgow International Airport. It follows the news at the end of 2001 that Jarvis won the operating contract for two hotels at Glasgow Airport: the Glasgow Airport Ramada and another, undisclosed cheaper brand.

Like Jarvis’s portfolio, the new hotel, which will include leisure and business facilities will be aimed at the increasing level of business travellers using Glasgow Airport as well as the tourist market. It will be a flagship property within BAA’s expanding hotel portfolio.
