The 86-acre property, which is located between the shoreline and Interstate 580 at the southern end of Richmond, is adjacent to the University of California's Richmond Research Center. The new park, which will feature 1 million sf of R&D space on 27 acres, will focus on life sciences.
Simeon plans to develop the land in phases, with the first phase building 350,000-sf and building new facilities and demolishing older buildings. Simeon also has an option to purchase the additional 58 acres after Zeneca finishes toxic cleanup on the land. .
