$400M Facelift Planned at Lionshead

VAIL, CO-Vail Resorts Inc. plans its largest-ever project, adding 50,000 sf of retail space, riverfront townhomes and a five-star, luxury hotel for its properties in the west village of this ski resort.

VAIL, CO-Vail Resorts Inc. plans a $400-million renovation of its Lionshead village in the famed ski resort about 100 miles west of Denver. The plan represents its largest single project ever.

The project, consistent with the master plan, includes a new skier services portal, a five-star, luxury hotel; riverfront townhomes; more than 400 additional “hot beds;” 50,000 sf of retail space, a small number of single-family home sites, improved auto and pedestrian access.

Complementing the historical architecture of Vail, classic European architecture will be featured throughout the Lionshead area.
