Tower Not For Sale, Could Get Twin

TROY, MI-Kojaian Cos. of Bloomfield Hills says it's ignoring offers to sell the 660,000-sf Top of Troy office building. Instead, it has begun discussing plans to build a mirroring mixed-use tower next door.

TROY, MI-One thing’s for sure: The Top of Troy building is not coming down. That’s according to its owners, Kojaian Cos. of Bloomfield Hills and The Witkoff Group of New York, who flatly deny any plans to sell the 25-story building and the land to another owner.

However, a spokeswoman for Kojaian says it’s possible the companies could build another tower on the land.

“We’ve talked to [architect firm] Yamasaki, things are very preliminary,” says Jeanine Mixdorf, marketing director for Kojaian.
