Livingston Letting Sparks Investment Sale for Taylor Woodrow

GLASGOW-Taylor Woodrow Property Company has secured the Inland Revenue as a tenant for its 30,000-sf Silverburn House office development on the Almondvale Business Park in Livingston, Scotland, and it immediately sold the property to an offshore investor.

GLASGOW-Taylor Woodrow Property Company has leased its 30,000-sf Silverburn House office development on the Almondvale Business Park in Livingston, Scotland to the Inland Revenue. The government has agreed a 21-year lease at a rent of £15.50 ($21.85) per sf, and it is now fitting out the building as a call centre to house 360 workstations by Spring 2002.

David Mitchell, regional director of Taylor Woodrow Property Company Limited, said: “We are delighted to have attracted another prestigious name to Almondvale Business Park, which is becoming firmly established as one of Central Scotland’s premier business hubs.

King Sturge acted as agent for Taylor Woodrow, and DTZ represented Mapeley, the Nomura-backed outsourcing company that will manage the call centre on behalf of the government.
