The company said that in recent weeks it has sold more than 5,000 new office workstations. In Rome, Philip Morris Companies has taken space for 235 people in a two-year deal; in Leuven, Belgium, the Belgian brewing giant Interbrew has taken space for 86 people for two years; in Denver, Colorado, Spatial Corp has signed a five-year deal for 347 people. And at the same time Damovo has taken more than 300 workstations in the UK, Brazil and Slovakia for up the five years and Fujitsu subsidiary DMR Consulting has signed a five-year deal for 60 workstations in Sao Paulo, Brazil and 135 workstations in Madrid, Spain.
Regus chief executive Mark Dixon said: 'These new deals are evidence of a growing trend for large multinationals to undertake the structured outsourcing of office space in preference to long term conventional leases. Many of the deals are for five years or longer, as organisations take advantage of the flexibility and long term cost savings they can make by outsourcing their workspace requirements to us.'
