"Our residents are among the pioneers of Denver's newest community, and everyone is very excited to begin living in this Downtown Denver neighborhood," says Mark Sidell, president of Gart Properties. "Prospect Neighborhood and the Central Platte Valley have evolved into an important part of Denver's great urban lifestyle, and we're pleased to be the most recent addition to the community."

"It's exciting to see the Prospect neighborhood come to life as the flurry of activity on the streets changes from construction to people moving into their new homes," adds architect Brad Buchanan of Buchanan Yonushewski Group. "We're proud to be a part of the rebirth of an historical area of the city."

The first 73 units sold at WaterTower Lofts range from $187,500 to $696,000. Approximately 20 residences remain, ranging in price from $184,000 to $639,000.

"People are beginning to take notice of the Prospect Neighborhood more and more, and that's been reflected in our strong sales," says Sidell. Other projects underway include a loft project by Urban Neighborhoods and a luxury apartment complex by Lincoln Properties.

"The vision for the area which we share with Urban Neighborhoods, Lincoln Properties and others is beginning to become a reality," Sidell says.

Prospect also is getting new streets, sidewalks and streetscapes, underground utilities and a new storm drainage system. The improvements will be completed as a result of the cooperation between the city of Denver, Gart Properties, Lincoln Properties, Urban Neighborhoods and local landowners. With the completion of the improvements, construction on several new buildings will be able to begin.

"All of this activity reflects the transition of this area from a few renovated buildings into an exciting Denver neighborhood, within walking distance of all that Downtown Denver has to offer," Sidell adds.

The WaterTower Lofts are located at 2960 Inca Street in the Central Platte Valley in the Benedict Warehouse and Transfer Building built in 1892. Gart Properties purchased the building and is renovating the structure with the design/build team Buchanan Yonushewski Group.
