Amey Selects Speculative Solent Scheme

LONDON-The South Coast office market has received a boost with the letting of the 70,000-sf Forum One building on the Solent Business Park between Southampton and Portsmouth to business support group Amey.

LONDON-Business support group Amey has taken the 70,130-sf Forum One building on the Solent Business Park. The largest speculative office building ever constructed in the South Hampshire out of town market has been let on practical completion at a new record rent for the business park of £19 ($27) per sf.

The three-storey office building was developed by the Prudential as the first phase of its Forum development on the Solent Business park, where it has consent for 590,640 sf in 12 buildings. Encouraged by the success of Forum One, the Pru is now working up plans for a further speculative building of 45,790 sf.
