Broadwing, which bases its broadband operations in Austin, has leased one building in a three-building complex, next door to the 130,000-sf building it occupies. The four buildings are at the intersection of Capital of Texas Highway and Lost Creek Boulevard.

Roy Scruggs of CarrAmerica Inc.'s Austin office has represented the building owner, CarrAmerica Realty of Washington, DC, and Charles Dickson and Volney Campbell, both of the Austin office of CB Richard Ellis Inc., have acted on Broadwing's behalf.

Scruggs is whittling down the open space left in the three-building complex by publisher Holt Rinehart & Winston's 2001 move to a new CarrAmerica building in the north central submarket. In late 2001, Oasis Silicon Systems leased 27,500 sf, which leaves about 36,500 sf vacant.
