Pringle was recognized for his community and philanthropic efforts while constructing about 3,000 homes in six subdivisions over the past 20 years. Pringle Development Co. is the dominant residential builder in the county.

Among George Pringle's numerous real estate and community achievements were the construction of a Civil Air Patrol headquarters building at Leesburg Airport and developing Angel Flight of Florida into a nationally known medical resource for transporting critically ill patients free to hospitals and clinics. George Pringle and his son John, co-owner of Pringle Development, are both volunteer pilots for Angel Flight.

The Pringle clan came to Lake County from Chicago in 1913. George Pringle's grandfather, Frederick Pringle, helped build Silver Lake Estates which later became Silver Lake Country Club, the first modern golf community in the county, 45 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando.
