Committee Finalizing Plan for 100-Acre Former Hospital Site

FOXBOROUGH, MA-This town is close to getting something built on the former site of the Foxborough State Hospital as the State Hospital Re-use Committee gets close to finalizing a mixed-use development proposal for the 100-acre site.

FOXBOROUGH, MA-The State Hospital Re-use Committee is close to finalizing a plan for the 100-acre site of the former Foxborough State Hospital here near Route 140. After a number of changes, the current plans calls for a mixed-use development.

According to Marc Resnick, Foxborough’s town planner, the plan involves 300 units of housing, “several” retail sites and office space. But Resnick points out that the plan is flexible and allows for a developer’s input.
