Developers Wanted to Construct Downtown Hotel

BREMERTON, WA-With ground expected to break on the new conference center sometime this summer, official requests for proposals are about to go out for an adjacent 100-room hotel and restaurant.

BREMERTON, WA-Builders are being sought this week to construct a 100-room hotel and restaurant next to the conference center. About four developers reportedly are interested in the estimated $15.2 million project.

City officials are pushing for a 15,000-sf conference center, just north of the Bremerton Ferry terminal. It is expected to cost around $19.2 million to build. Construction should begin this summer, with the demolition of the Enetai Building, which is now home to the Bremerton Naval Museum. The hotel will be a privately funded venture.
