Cuckfield Group intends speculatively to build some 80,000 sf straight away at City Park, making this the first speculative development of its size in Brighton for more than 10 years. It has appointed Brighton-based Stiles Harold Williams and Knight Frank's London West End office as agents.

Commenting on the company's successful planning application Cuckfield Group Chief Executive, Ron Persaud, said: 'We have spent the last 18 months compiling our proposals for Hove Park and are delighted that it has received planning permission.'

Cuckfield Group also recently acquired an eight-acre site at Fort Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex for £1.75 million ($2.48million). Plans for the Fort Road site include 145,000 sf of new B1, B2 and B8 industrial units together with freehold, leasehold and build options. Agents for the Littlehampton scheme are Stiles Harold Williams and Meyrick.
