"We're excited about adding another Washington, DC area hotel," Prime's vice president of marketing services Jim Gard tells GlobeSt.com. "We believe that the business in that area will be robust in the future." A six-floor building with 124 rooms, the structure also offers 1,200 sf of flexible meeting space. The hotel is an all-suite property that has been converted from a Sumner Suites hotel. Prime took on the leasehold interest on 27 Sholodge, Inc. Sumner Suites hotels in July 2000, and began transforming the properties into AmeriSuites. The deal increased Prime's AmeriSuites presence by more than 30%.
