140th AmeriSuites Hotel Opens Near Dulles

CHANTILLY, VA-The Dulles Airport South/Chantilly AmeriSuites hotel–Fairfield, New Jersey-based Prime Hospitality Corp.’s 140th AmeriSuites property–opens at 4994 Weststone Plaza in Westfields Corporate Center. This is the second such property in the Washington, DC metropolitan region, and the seventh in the state of Virginia. The District is just twenty miles away, and the Dulles International Airport is just six miles to the north.

“We’re excited about adding another Washington, DC area hotel,” Prime’s vice president of marketing services Jim Gard tells GlobeSt.com. “We believe that the business in that area will be robust in the future.” A six-floor building with 124 rooms, the structure also offers 1,200 sf of flexible meeting space. The hotel is an all-suite property that has been converted from a Sumner Suites hotel. Prime took on the leasehold interest on 27 Sholodge, Inc. Sumner Suites hotels in July 2000, and began transforming the properties into AmeriSuites. The deal increased Prime’s AmeriSuites presence by more than 30%.
