While there have not been many larger deals in the area recently, this deal is one of a series of smaller transactions that have been occurring in the city and suburban market for both direct and sublease space. In a released statement, John Hanify, a partner at the law firm, says that the new location is convenient to both the company's clients and its employees. He attributes the move to the "planned growth of the firm."
Joanna Dresses, director of the Boston office of Insignia/ESG and Tim Lyne, its managing director, represented Hanify & King in the transaction. The landlord, Westbrook and Prudential, was represented by Tom Gilbane, an associate at Westbrook and Prudential, and Andy Hoar, president of C.B. Richard Ellis/Whittier Partners.
