The city has agreed to award Hitachi a community block grant and waive. Eastlake Development will pay about $1.1 million of Hitachi's transportation development fees.
McMahon has agreed to build an 85,000-sf headquarters within one year of receiving a building permit. Hitachi has agreed to lease the facility within six months and for a minimum of 10 years.
The city announced the deal Friday at a groundbreaking ceremony. The headquarters is expected to bring at least 170 jobs to the area.
