$80M Lay Museum Needs Designer

TACOMA, WA-City officials are looking for an architectural team to complete a site analysis and design documents for the first phase of the Harold E. LeMay Museum, which will house the automobile, artifacts and memorabilia collection of Mr. And Mrs. LeMay.

TACOMA, WA-Architectural teams are being sought by city officials to supply a site analysis and design documents for the first phase of the Harold E. LeMay Museum.

The 200,000-square-foot facility will include car storage and parking. The city donated approximately five acres of the Tacoma Dome parking lots on D Street for construction of the new museum. Estimated costs for the completed project range from $80 to $100 million.

The museum will house the automobile, artifacts and memorabilia collection of Mr. and Mrs. LeMay. The Guinness Book of World Records lists the LeMay collection as the largest private automobile collection in the world.
