Image Microsystems, a computer systems and parts distributor, doubled its leased site to 44,800 sf. It has relationships with Austin-based Dell Computer Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. Comac, which added 22,400 sf to an existing 32,000 sf, provides products and service for document storage and handling. It and Iron Mountain lease 995,128 sf from ProLogis in nine cities.

The northeast submarket has 17% of Austin's industrial space. The vacancy rate among office-bulk-manufacturing warehouse space was 15% at the end of 2001 and 17% for flex and research and development space.

ProLogis Park Walnut Creek, in the northeast submarket, has 884,539 sf in 17 buildings and a 2.2% vacancy. Other tenants include Dell, Applied Materials, Furniture Marketing Group Inc. and Lykes Cartage Company Inc. Denver-based ProLogis Trust has 206.1 million sf of distribution space in North America, Europe and Japan.
