The Illinois REIT paid the 6955 RR Corp. of Atlanta $24.4 million or $185.34 per sf for the asset. A 43,323-sf Publix Supermarket store is the anchor among a stable of 50 national, regional and local tenants. Among them: Applebees, Subway, Ritz Camera, Starbucks, Jenny Craig, H & R Block, GNC, Supercuts and Regions Bank.
Abernathy Square is at the southeast corner of Abernathy and Roswell Roads. Steve Sanders, senior vice president, Inland Real Estate Acquisitions Inc. and outside counsel Charles Benvenuto represented Inland. Rick Paul of PM Realty Advisors and attorney Keith Elkins of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler, Marmaro LP negotiated for the seller.
