Mark Lasman, a senior associate in the company's Fort Lauderdale, FL office is handling the marketing effort.

Developed in 1975 by Forest City, the mall is anchored by JC Penney, Sears, Kaufmann's, Target and Dillard's. All of the anchor tenants own their own stores except Dillard's. The total area offered for sale includes 369,650 sf of mall space plus the 125,821-sf Dillard's. The mall is the largest shopping center in northeast Ohio and is located near Interstates 76 and 77.

Lennar Partners purchased Rolling Acres Mall as part of a portfolio of assets. Bankers Trust hired Schostak Brothers & Company Inc. to act as property managers. The mall has experienced many positive changes over the last year and a half, Lasman says.

"Rolling Acres Mall is in much better shape today than when it was first acquired," says Lasman, also director of Marcus & Millichap's national retail group. "The 65-acre property holds great investment and adaptive re-use opportunities with its convenient location and size. The current owner has given Rolling Acres Mall some momentum, andnow it needs a new owner that will build on those improvements."

He plans to focus on investors that specialize in mall redevelopment and are committed long-term to the mall and community.
