"Plaza America is a very successful retail center in Reston," Intertech Corporation's Vicki Salamon explains to GlobeSt.com. Intertech represented the property owner in the deal, and Solomon & Associates stood in for the tenant. "The Success of Plaza America is due in part to the fact that it not only serves the residential community in Reston, but it generates a lot of traffic from the surrounding businesses."

Plaza America Retail is part of the 1.2 million-sf Plaza America office complex, which sits on 27 acres near the Dulles Toll Road. The 165,000-sf retail portion of the center was completed in 1995. "We have an extensive amount of traffic generated from businesses and residents," Salamon continues. "And we meet the needs of all of those people." Other tenants include Fresh Fields, Michael's, Books-A-Million and Starbucks. The complex is also within walking distance of a bevy of other businesses.
