Retailer A.J. Wright Expands Into Pelham Manor

PELHAM MANOR, NY-Discount retailer A.J. Wright has taken occupancy of a 23,813-sf store at Pelham Plaza, a large community shopping center located near the Westchester-Bronx border, according to Levin Management Corp., which brokered the deal.

PELHAM MANOR, NY-A new off-price retail chain of TJX Companies, has opened a new location at the Pelham Plaza shopping center here, according to Levin Management Corp., the managing, construction and leasing agent for the 253,171-sf community shopping center here.

A.J. Wright has taken occupancy of a 23,813-sf store at Pelham Plaza, which is located at the intersection of US 1 and Pelham Parkway near the Westchester-Bronx border.

“This highly successful retail property occupies a prime location on Boston Post Road with a traffic count of 37,000 cars per day,” says David Silver, corporate director of marketing for Levin Management Corp. “Tenants have also been drawn by the region’s large population. The consumer base is outstanding with more than one million people and an average 2000 (annual) household income of $71,352 within a five-mile radius. The shopping center is located within two miles of Co-Op City, a major high-rise housing cooperative in the Northeast Bronx that boasts approximately 50,000 residents.
