WestCoast Hospitality Combines Management

SPOKANE, WA-WestCoast Hospitality Corp. has named the development team that will lead the combined company's Family of Hotels franchise sales. The switch was deemed necessary since the merger of WestCoast and Red Lion last year.

SPOKANE, WA-WestCoast Hospitality Corp (NYSE: WEH) has selected a new team to take charge of its Family of Hotels franchise sales. The move combines WestCoast and Red Lion into one group, with a unified culture, sales and marketing system.

Manfred Gerling has been named vice president of development. In his new post, Gerling will lead the development division of the combined company. He previously served as the vice president of development for Red Lion Hotels and Inns where he doubled the number of Red Lion branded hotels during a two-year period.

Mark Hansen has been named development director and will be responsible for the continued development of both WestCoast and Red Lion. Hansen most recently was director of franchise sales and development for Hilton Hotels Corp. for the Red Lion Hotels and Inns brand. Hansen is based in Texas and will focus on franchise sales in the mid-western United States.
