Finfrock Takes On $15M Metro Center Garage

HYATTSVILLE, MD-Orange County, FL’s Finfrock Design-Manufacture-Construct Inc. is on board to design and build the new 445,000-sf parking garage at Prince George’s Metro Center. The structure will have six levels and will accommodate up to 1,500 vehicles. Finfrock estimates construction costs will be around $15 million and expects the project to be completed in April of 2003.

“It’s been a real exciting project for us,” Finfrock project executive Elton Holland tells GlobeSt.com. “For us, it’s our first project out of state and we’re really excited about it.” Finfrock designs structures, manufactures components and performs construction. “We are the architectural and structural designers on this project,” Finfrock marketing coordinator Gail Kroll says. The company is hoping to be signed on as the general contractor, as well. Finfrock will employ textured structural concrete elements to the exterior of the building and will rely on a supplier in Pennsylvania to provide the concrete.
