ESCONDIDO, CA-KCM Group, a San Diego-based construction management and consulting firm, has completed a project for a golf improvement center here.

KCM Group provided construction management services on the Hodges Golf Improvement Center project at 12675 Sunset Drive, consulting on all construction phases of the $4.5 million, 17-acre golf driving range, clubhouse and instructional/maintenance facility.

Specific services included design management, project coordination, bid management, and construction oversight and management.

. Matt Dye was golf architect and Rick Engineering was the civil engineer for this project. The owner is Hodges Golf Improvement Center.

Pre-construction services began in July 2000 and construction began in January 2001. The construction market in northern San Diego County has been stronger of late, with a number of build-to-suit commercial and industrial projects in the pipeline.

The golf facilities market has been especially strong, with golf manufacturing and practice facilities proving to be particularly popular among developers.
