Gold's Gym Moves Into City Place Mall

SILVER SPRING, MD-Continuing its Mid-Atlantic expansion program, Gold’s Gym will open a franchise in 27,000 sf of space in Montgomery County’s City Place Mall. JBG Rosenfeld Retail represented the tenant in the deal, making this the seventh location JBGR has helped Gold’s obtain in the Washington Metro region. The new gym is expected to open to clients in the summer or early fall of this year.

“They’ve already taken possession,” JBGR’s Grant Ehat tells GlobeSt.com. “It’s a done deal.” The lease is for a 10-year term, but the parties involved are not releasing the financial details of the agreement. However, rents in the 11-year old City Place Mall range from $12 per-sf to more than $40, depending on the use of the space and the type of space being leased.
